中英对照：南非法庭禁止“维生素治愈艾滋病”试验

　　The High Court in Cape Town has ruled that two doctors cannot continue to carry out unauthorised clinical trials of vitamins for HIV/AIDS in South Africa.

　　法庭命令Matthias Rath 和David Rasnick停止向艾滋病感染者/患者发布关于他们的维生素合剂“Vita-Cell”的医学效果的广告。

　　Matthias Rath and David Rasnick have also been ordered to stop publishing advertisements about the medicinal effects of their vitamin combination 'Vita-Cell' on people with HIV/AIDS.

　　法官Dumisani Zondi命令卫生部长Manto Tshabalala-Msimang及其同事采取合理的措施防止这类试验和广告出现，并采取措施调查这些医生的运作。

　　Judge Dumisani Zondi ordered health minister Manto Tshabalala-Msimang and colleagues to take reasonable measures to prevent such trials and advertisements from occurring, and to investigate the doctors' operations.

　　治疗行动运动（Treatment Action Campaign）是涉及这一起诉的组织之一，该组织的Nathan Geffen认为该判决是科学治理的胜利。他说重要的是记住患者在停止抗逆转录病毒治疗、转向维生素治疗之后会丧失他们的生命。

　　Nathan Geffen of the Treatment Action Campaign, one of the groups behind the court action, described the ruling as a victory for scientific governance. He said it was important to remember that people had died after halting antiretroviral therapy and swapping to the vitamins.

　　他还说，该判决将影响到其它出售声称能治愈艾滋病的制品的人们的活动。

　　He added that the judgment would affect the activities of others who sell products claiming to cure AIDS.
